the rooftops
“With no less than three rooftop terraces there is zero excuse to stay inside”
the sunny terrace
This southern-faced terrace has a spectacular view of Monti di Palermo, the mountains that encircle the Sicilian capital against the sea.
This is the perfect place for that aperitivo under the string lights before going out for dinner.
As the sun will be on, from morning to late evening, it is convenient with the sun shade which is easily installed.
the shaded terrace
This wooden covered terrace is a must for those hot summer days as you get to stay outside and feel the breeze.
With beautiful ceramic tiles on the floor, the mosaic decorated walls and terracotta sink, you easily get reminded of the ancient history of this place, especially when the church bells are ringing in for worship at the neighboring Basilica di San Francesco d’Assisi.
the hidden terrace
If we had to choose (luckily we don’t), this terrace would probably be our favorite. While being significantly smaller compared to the sunny terrace, it appears more private due to being tucked away in between the building asymmetries.
Facing the beautiful garden of San Loranzo, and with views of the sea and the iconic pink Utveggio castle standing on top of the Monte Pellegrino, this terrace is the perfect spot to catch those first sunrays of the day or to get a proper nap on the sunbed in the afternoon.
We will keep it secret for now how to actually access the rooftop, but we’ll promise it will not be the typical way :)
